Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Mat Dynasty, the college wrestling simulation game at matdynasty.com (the “Game”). “We”, “us” and “our” mean the operator of Mat Dynasty. By creating an account or using the Game, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Game.

1. Who can play

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Game. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Game only with the permission of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. If we learn that someone under 13 has created an account, we will delete it.

2. Your account

• You may sign up with an email address and password, or with Google. Give accurate information, and keep your sign-in details secure.
• One person, one account. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
• You choose a public handle once, when you first sign in. It is shown to other players, so do not use your real full name if you would rather not, and do not use a handle that impersonates someone, is offensive, or infringes someone else’s rights. We may change or remove a handle that breaks these rules.
• Tell us at support@matdynasty.com if you think someone else has accessed your account.

3. Worlds, programs and coaching

The Game is played in shared worlds. Coaching jobs are applied for and granted by our administrators at their discretion. We may approve, deny or revoke a coaching position, reassign a program, adjust or reset game data, advance, pause, re-seed or archive a world, and change game rules and balance at any time. Game results are generated by a simulation that includes randomness, and we do not guarantee any particular outcome.

4. Fictional content

Wrestlers, recruits and their statistics in the Game are fictional and randomly generated. Any resemblance to real people is coincidental. School and program names are used for identification only. Mat Dynasty is an independent game and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the NCAA, any athletic conference, or any college or university. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

5. Rules of conduct

When using the Game, including the Coaches Lounge and anything else other players can see, you agree not to:

• harass, threaten, bully or abuse other players, or post hateful, sexually explicit, or violent content;
• post personal information about another person without their consent;
• impersonate another person, another player, or Mat Dynasty staff;
• post spam, advertising, or links to malware or scams;
• post content that infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
• use bots, scripts, or automated tools to play, scrape or access the Game, except features the Game itself provides (such as Automatic Mode);
• exploit bugs, probe or attack our systems, interfere with other players, or try to access accounts or data that are not yours;
• create multiple accounts to gain an advantage or to get around a suspension; or
• use the Game for anything illegal.

In-game actions like tampering and “throwing shade” are part of the Game and are fine. The rules above are about how you treat real people.

6. Content you post

You keep ownership of the posts, comments and other text you submit (“Your Content”). By submitting it, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce and distribute Your Content in connection with operating and promoting the Game. You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to post it.

We do not review everything posted, but we may remove or edit any content, for any reason or no reason, including content we believe breaks these Terms. Posts may remain visible after you stop coaching a program. You can delete your own Lounge posts and comments.

7. Copyright complaints

If you believe content in the Game infringes your copyright, email support@matdynasty.com with: your contact information; a description of the copyrighted work; where the infringing material appears in the Game; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and your physical or electronic signature. We will remove infringing material and terminate the accounts of repeat infringers where appropriate.

8. Our game

The Game, including its software, simulation, design, text, graphics and everything else we provide (other than Your Content), belongs to us and is protected by law. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Game for your own non-commercial entertainment, subject to these Terms. You may not copy, modify, sell, or reverse-engineer the Game, or build a competing service from it.

Programs, wrestlers, recruits, rankings, records and other game data are part of the Game. They are not your property, have no real-world value, and cannot be sold, traded or transferred outside the Game.

9. Feedback

If you send us ideas, suggestions or bug reports, we may use them freely without any obligation to you.

10. Price and paid features

The Game is currently free. We may introduce paid features, subscriptions, or other purchases in the future. If we do, the price and any additional terms (including billing, renewal and refunds) will be shown to you before you buy, and nothing will be charged without your clear agreement. Features that are free today may become paid features or be removed.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Game at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account by emailing support@matdynasty.com. We may suspend or terminate your account, remove you from a world, or remove your access to features such as the Coaches Lounge at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have broken these Terms or for any other reason. Sections 4, 6 through 9, and 12 through 16 survive termination.

12. Changes and availability

The Game is in active development. Features, rules and game data can change, and the Game may be unavailable, slow, or have bugs. We may modify, suspend or discontinue all or part of the Game at any time. Game data may be lost or reset, and we are not obliged to restore it.

13. Disclaimer of warranties

The Game is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Game will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any data will be preserved.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to the Game or these Terms. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Game or these Terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers or limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.

15. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content or your breach of these Terms.

16. General

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Game. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours, for example as part of a sale of the Game.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above, and for significant changes we will give notice in the Game. Continuing to use the Game after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
